- 4Complete the captchaEnter the security code shown and click Submit.
- 5View and save your resultYour subject-wise marks, grades, and status appear. Download as PDF immediately — this provisional marksheet is accepted by most colleges for initial applications.
Lost your admit card? How to find your roll number
- CBSE Roll Number Finder: Visit cbseit.in/cbse/2026/rfinder. Enter your name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth.
- Contact your school: The principal or class teacher has a master record (List of Candidates / LOC) with all roll numbers and admit card IDs.
- Use DigiLocker: Does not require an admit card ID. Log in with your registered mobile number only.

DigiLocker is a Government of India platform that stores official digital documents. The CBSE marksheet on DigiLocker carries a government-issued digital signature and is accepted by colleges and universities for provisional admission.
Steps to access your marksheet on DigiLocker
- 1Open DigiLockerVisit digilocker.gov.in or download the DigiLocker app from Play Store / App Store.
- 2Register or log inUse your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Create a 6-digit security PIN if new. You do not need your admit card ID.
- 3Go to Education sectionSelect "Education" or "Documents" from the menu. Search for "Central Board of Secondary Education".
- 4Select Marksheet Class XIIClick "Marksheet Class XII 2026". Your document will appear once CBSE pushes results to DigiLocker — usually within hours of declaration.
- 5Download and shareDownload as PDF. You can share directly from the app to colleges. The document includes a verification QR code.
If you are not satisfied with your marks, CBSE offers a three-step process. The sequence is mandatory — you must complete each step before the next.

How to apply
- 1Go to cbseit.in/cbse/web/rchk/ — the official CBSE rechecking portal.
- 2Log in with your roll number, school number, and date of birth.
- 3Apply for photocopy first. Select subjects and pay online (cards / net banking accepted; no cash or DD).
- 4After receiving the PDF, review it carefully. Then apply for verification or re-evaluation if needed.
- 5Save your application number. Track status on the same portal.
Compartment means you have failed in one subject but passed all others. You are allowed to appear for the CBSE Compartment Examination, typically held in July 2026. Clearing it means you pass Class 12 for the 2025–26 academic year.
What to do if you receive Compartment
- Check the compartment exam schedule on cbse.gov.in immediately after results.
- Apply for the compartment exam through your school or the CBSE regional office.
- Contact colleges you are applying to — most will hold your provisional seat pending the compartment result if you apply early and explain your situation.
- The compartment exam follows the same paper pattern and marking scheme as the main board exam.
Compartment vs. Essential Repeat
- Compartment: Failed in one or two subjects. Can appear for compartment exam in July. Passes for the year if cleared.
- Essential Repeat: Failed in three or more subjects. Must repeat the entire Class 12 board examination in the next academic year.

Scored between 60% and 89%
- Check CUET cutoffs for mid-tier central and state universities.
- Research state-level entrance exams for engineering, management, and other programmes.
- Explore BBA, BCom, BSc programmes at reputed private colleges.
Placed in Compartment
- Check compartment exam schedule on cbse.gov.in immediately — the window is short.
- Apply to colleges early with your current result — most have provisions for compartment students.
- Clear compartment in July to confirm your admission.
