CBSE 2026: What does your marksheet actually show — grades, marks or both?

Many students are confused about whether CBSE shows numerical marks or only grades on the Class 12 marksheet. CBSE Class 12 marksheets show both — subject-wise numerical marks and the corresponding letter grade for each subject, along with overall result status.

The marksheet also separately shows theory and practical marks, overall percentage, and whether the student passed, failed, or is placed in compartment. Full marksheet format explained at cbse-result.org.
